Heidi Lukacsik is an active member of the Arizona legal community and has practiced exclusively in the area of Family Law for nearly a decade. She is a regular contributor to Channel 12 News “Lawyers on Call”, a volunteer for Arizona State Bar’s Young Lawyer’s Division and regular speaker and mentor to the Family Law Student Association at the Arizona Summit Law School.
Ms. Lukacsik seeks to help those facing the risks, uncertainty and challenges of a divorce, or family law matter, in a focused and deliberate manner. Although her first preference is always to mediate and to put the control of the outcome in her client’s hands; she is a relentless opponent in any court of law, with her meticulous balance of trial preparation, knowledge of the courtroom and detailed attention to the applicable rules.
Unlike many family law attorneys in the Valley, Ms. Lukacsik is experienced in Juvenile Court matters and regularly appears for severance of parental rights cases, dependencies, guardianships and adoptions. She has vast experience in litigation of complex custody disputes including cases involving children with special needs and the interplay with The Division of Developmental Disabilities, the drafting of Premarital Agreements, and in litigating the enforceability of these agreements under the Uniform Premarital Agreement Act (UPAA), spousal, financial, real property and custody disputes, third-party visitation rights, and the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA).
In addition to her commitment to family law and providing exceptional legal representation to the firm’s clients, Ms. Lukacsik is committed to participating in the community. She is a volunteer and participant for the Women’s Fresh Start Foundation, a volunteer for BookPals supporting literacy in youth through the Screen Actors Guild of America and has been a marathon coach and fundraiser for The Lymphoma and Leukemia Society since 2007, and pro bono volunteer for the Family Resource Center.
Every case is unique and Ms. Lukacsik approaches each case with the patience, sensitivity and understanding that has garnered her the trust of her clients and respect of her peers. Ms. Lukacsik is ethical, professional and has an excellent knowledge of the family law system and says, “I am always acutely sensitive and conscientious of what matters to my clients. I am prepared to settle disputes whenever possible but as your lawyer, I will fight to secure my clients’ rights.”
